In 2004, siblings Lucy, Maggie and Stephen Elliott
opened «CAKE» a cozy 29-square-meter
bakery in the heart of Athens, Greece, just months
before the Athens Olympics.

Inspired by cherished family
recipes from their childhood, they crafted American-style cakes,
from their famous carrot cake and decadent chocolate fudge to
Maggie’s signature cheesecake and Red Velvet cupcakes. Baked
fresh daily, their creations quickly won over locals with unique
flavors, high-quality ingredients, and warm, friendly service.

By 2005, «CAKE» had become a
citywide sensation, drawing customers from across Athens and
sparking demand for more locations. In 2006, the siblings
expanded with a second shop in the northern suburbs.

By 2009,
«CAKE» began franchising, opening multiple locations
around the city while diversifying its menu to include savory
treats and a full range of espresso-based drinks.

In 2014, amid Greece’s economic
challenges, Stephen took sole ownership of the
«CAKE»
brand, steering it through tough times with strategic
improvements. In 2016, he launched «CAKE
Master», a dedicated production
company, which by 2018 was supplying
cafes, restaurants, and hotels across Athens and exporting to
Sofia, Bulgaria, and Brussels, Belgium. At this point,
«CAKE»
operated three stores.

In 2024, Stephen introduced
«PANCAKE»,
an all-day brunch café and restaurant next to the Acropolis
Museum. Blending the brand’s signature quality with a fresh
concept, it became an instant hit, cementing the Elliott legacy
in Athens’ culinary scene.
